A Quick and Easy Valentine's Theme Drink to Bring a Little Extra Love to Your Valentine's Day Celebration This Year. Great for a School Party or Other Love Filled Occasion. Valentine's Day Cupid's Brew. sunshineandhurricanes.com

Valentine’s Day – Cupid’s Brew

Cupid’s Brew is a super easy idea for a cute Valentine’s Day drink to make with your kiddos at home or even to use for a Valentine’s Day party.  I wanted to stay away from soda, but still have something with some bubbles.  I opted for a mixture of sparkling cranberry juice and some organic lemonade that I purchased at Target. However, you could also do a little experimentation of your own with sparkling white grape juice (often serves to kids on New Year’s Eve) mixed together with cranberry juice or even pink lemonade.

To make the drinks a little more festive and Valentine’s Day themed, we used Mason Jars dipped in Pink Sugar . Simply pour a large quantity of the pink sugar on a small plate, wet the rims of the jars and then dip in the sugar. You may have to rotate them around a bit to get full coverage. You can keep it simple though and just use red solo cups or other Valentine’s Day paper cups.

We added some cute Valentine’s Day straws, which you can get at most Dollar or Craft stores or else we found these adorable heart ones on Amazon.

Then we topped our little pink drinks off with a couple of maraschino cherries stuck on plastic heart tooth picks. Ours were actually cupcake pics that we grabbed at the Dollar Store, but I also found these darling Conversation Hearts ones on Amazon. (I almost wish we’d found these first!!)

As you can see, our little Valentine’s Day Cupid’s Brew can be customized in many different ways based on what you have available and your own personal drink preferences. Quick, Easy and Love Filled!

That looks super tasty. I usually just drink water, but I may have to make and exception for this one!

Ever wonder what to say when your child is feeling Ever wonder what to say when your child is feeling left out? A few years ago, I watched from my park bench as a young mother tried to console her sobbing daughter. “I’m sorry, honey. I don’t blame you for being upset.” “I don’t know why they won’t let me be in their group for the talent show. They just said they already had enough people and their routine was done and there wasn’t anything they could do about it. I told them I would make a new one up, but they wouldn’t do it.” I tried to focus on my kindle while occasionally looking for my kids to exit the school door. But as much as I tried not to eavesdrop, I had to admit I was interested to hear how the mom would handle this all-too-common situation of a child feeling left out. “Well, they’re probably just jealous of you honey, because you are such a good gymnast and they aren’t. They probably don’t want you in their group because you’ll show them up,” the mom stated matter-of-factly. “You should do a solo routine. Or maybe one with Chloe.” “You think?” the girl replied, her tears slowing down. “You think they’re just jealous of my tumbling?” “Totally.” Several minutes passed before my girls came out, but the interaction between the mother and daughter stuck with me for a lot longer. Maybe the girls were jealous, or maybe they honestly had their routine finished. To continue reading check the link in bio.
