As a writer and a blogger, part of how I improve the content and total experience that Sunshine and Hurricanes delivers to its readers is by attending conferences. No matter what our passions are in life, things are constantly changing and we need to stay on top of the latest trends to continue to grow. It can also be incredibly helpful to network with others who share the same passion, because no two people see or approach a task in quite the same way, and there are always opportunities to share experiences and expertise.
One conference that I am psyched to be attending the end of February is SoFabU On The Road. There are 11 cities hosting this traveling event and I’ll be going to the one in Miami at the very posh Four Seasons Miami on February 28th. So, while I’d love to meet you if you could make it to Miami, if that doesn’t work for you there is sure to be one not too far from you!!!

SoFabU on the Road features hands-on, interactive sessions where you actually get to implement what you’re learning on the spot. There are also awesome special guest speakers. Matt Cherry, founder and CEO of iBlog magazine will be the speaker in Miami where he will be sharing inside secrets the experts use to maximize their exposure and eliminate administrative tasks that keep bloggers from realizing their true potential.
While I’m looking forward to all aspects of this conference, I think what really captured my attention is that each stop on the tour will have a fun, city-specific adventure. In Miami, we will be doing a Photography and Instagram School taught by Six Instagram SUPERSTARS that will give us hands on practice during a photo tour of Wynwood Walls! I’m a mover and doer, so I’m thrilled that we won’t just be sitting in sessions all day, but getting out and active. It’s hard to be visiting an amazing city and then get stuck indoors the whole time with no chance to explore.
The event also has some well-known sponsors including Johnny Rockets, Müller, and Kraft who will be part of a panel discussion talking about how brands and blogs can work together successfully. I know it’s going to be one jam packed day, but I am positive it’s going to make Sunshine and Hurricanes a better blog for our readers!
