These best ever homemade brownies found their way into my life via my friend Carrie. Honestly, I’d never made brownies except from the box before I tried these and they definitely earned their name.
These brownies are so yummy and rich that you can cut them fairly small and everyone still have a satisfying treat. Although, full disclosure, I usually cut them into regular sized squares and no one seems to mind a big serving of chocolately goodness! 😉
- ¾c melted butter
- 1.5c sugar
- 3 eggs
- ¾c cocoa powder
- ¾c flour
- ¼ tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- ¾c chocolate chips
- Combine sugar & butter, add eggs 1 at a time.
- Sift cocoa, flour, & salt together & add to butter mix.
- Stir in vanilla & chocolate chips.
- Spread in a well greased 8x8 pan, bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes
A little tip about brownies, if you prefer chewier, fudge brownies, slightly undercook them. If cake like, denser brownies are your thing, cook them the full time, all the way until the clean toothpick test.
